A new animated action-adventure based on Jackie's character from 'Little Big Soldier' will premier in China on 10 August 2012. It is called "The Adventures of JinBao" 《大兵金宝》 and took 3 years to complete. The idea of the movie is both a continuation of Jackie's character in "Little Big Soldier" as well as being a Chinese version of "Kungfu Panda". JinBao falls off a cliff and ends up in the spirit world in the body of a panda. The spirit world is threatened by demons and he joins with the 'Panda Heroes' ( a pig, a dog, and a mantis) to defeat the demons and restore the countryside to its full beauty.
The film is directed by Ng Yiu and the action choreography is by Lee Tat Chiu ("Infernal Affairs 2" and "Bodyguards and Assassins"). The special effects are directed by Lu Guocheng ("Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon"). The characters are voiced by the New Seven Little Fortunes. JinBao is voiced by Lam Chi Chung ("Kung Fu Hustle").
