Today Jackie met with the Minister of Culture and heads of 30 different charitable foundations to donate a total amount of 6 million baht (about $190 000 US) as well as a large quantity of essential basic supplies. During his visit Jackie visited an old age home and an orphanage. Jackie explained that he lived in Thailand at age 9 and again at age 16. He said the he was cared for by a lot of people after he broke his leg doing Thai boxing and is happy to give back to Thailand.
In conjuction with Borkboon.com JCCF has launched a fundraising initiative for 30 different charities in Thailand. You can view their page HERE and the list of charities HERE The site is in Thai and will need translating. How Borkboon.com works is to connect charities with donors and any one can donate. Donations amounts start at 1 Baht. They even have a mobile phone app - although it probably helps if you can speak Thai for that one.
The exciting news is that Jackie is stopping off in Bangkok this weekend to personally donate money raised so far to the charities.
