Jackie Recording "Best Wishes From Beijing" in HK

Jackie Chan, a popular Chinese movie star, led a singing wish from Hong Kong to the London Olympics on Monday.

Jackie Chan organized a group of Hong Kong fancy pop stars to sing in a music video for the London Olympics called "Best Wishes from Beijing" on Monday.

He said that the song followed the standard of Olympic songs written for the Beijing Olympics, with about 100 pop stars from China including actresses Zhang Ziyi and Fan Bingbing involved. The music video will be shot respectively at Beijing, Hong Kong, and Taipei of China's Taiwan. About 1,000 Chinese civilians will take part in the shooting.

The song contains wishes for the athletes to surpass themselves as well as best wishes for London, the world and the humankind.

"For world peace, sports, friendship and environmental protection, I hope we can present the song to the whole world on July 27, at the opening ceremony (for the London Olympics)," Jackie Chan said.

Pop star Eason Chan, who had a personal concert in London on April 23, also took part in shooting of the video.

"I am looking forward to the games of tennis and diving (on the London Olympics)," he said.

Best Wishes From Beijing Update

Filming has continued on the MV for the Olympic Song "Best Wishes From Beijing" 《北京祝福你》. The song was written by Wang Pingjiu. There will be a festival celebration "Bless Your Olympic Dream" which will be held on 27 July 2012 on the plaza between the Birds Nest Stadium and the watercube. The festival will be divided into four segments - Dream, Patriotism, Peace, and Beijing Bless You - to celebrate different aspects of the Olympic Spirit. The festival will feature a host of stars from China, Korea, Sweden and Britain.

Jackie filmed an additional segment at the Birds Nest Stadium today as well as attending a press conference held by the Beijing Olympic Committee about the festival. A new charitable initiative co-ordinated by SOHO News Network and CCTV Children's TV Channel to supply sports shoes to children across China was debuted at the ceremony and was supported wholeheartedly by Jackie who donated a pair of sports shoes, signed by him, to the charity.

Jackie recorded his part in the MV for 《北京祝福你》"Best Wishes From Beijing" in Tianamen Square this morning along with members of Beijing Shaolin Martial Arts School Kung Fu Troupe. They did a Tai Qi routine.
