2004 A Green Great Wall

On 27 March 2004 Jackie and a group of fellow celebrities along with 200 student volunteers took part in an environmental protection day at the Great Wall. Jackie was also appointed the Vice-President of the China Environmental Culture Promotion Association by the State Environmental Protection Agency.

After production moved to Dunhuang, the first time I drove to the location I noticed a very interesting thing - the car GPS navigation only showed a red dot. We look very interesting!

When it was time to stop work this evening I was very happy. Our crew are child actors from the martial arts school of Shaolin who are playing infantry soldiers. When we called it a day in the evening, they followed me to pick up trash from the hillside. I'm glad to send them home with some of T-shirts printed with the 'Dragon Blade' logo that the crew wear. There weren't enough but they will get their kits later. I am very thankful to the martial arts school for these children. I am wondering if we are all very environmentally aware, then it will be even better in the future for our country.

Action Blue Sky

Action Blue Sky, a movement to advocate world peace and raise public awareness about environmental protection, was officially launched on Thursday in Guangzhou, Sina.com.cn reports.

The movement was co-organized by the committee of 16th Asian Games and the Beijing Jackie Chan Charitable Foundation. During the ceremony held at the Guangzhou Huamei International School, Chan and famous domestic singer Sun Nan sang the theme song "Blue Sky" which was written for the upcoming Asian Games (November 12-27, 2010).

Action Blue Sky advocates spreading peace throughout the world and protecting our planet's environment. After the announcement of the theme song, the schoolchildren raised money for earthquake-hit Yushu in Qinghai Province.
