Just to prove that even when an article doesn't seem to be exaggerated or untrue - sometimes it is. A few days ago I read the report below however it was the result of a few comments that were misinterpreted during an interview. Jackie has NOT signed Xue Xiaoqiu - however having said that - when Xiaoqiu corrected the error made by the reporter he said that while he is signed with Universal Music, he didn't want to close the door on the opportunity to work with Jackie should it be possible as a result of a slip of the pen.

Jackie Attends The Australia-China Film Industry Forum
Jackie attending the opening night of th Australia-China Film Industry Forum in Beijing on 9 December. The event was attended by the Australian Ambassador to China Dr Geoff Raby and other dignitaries. The theme of the event is 'Imagine Australia. In his speech Jackie thanked Australia for taking care of his parents for 47 years. He also mentioned his long association with Australia, having made two very successful films there - 'Mr Nice Guy' and 'First Strike'. 191名汉旺重灾区儿童喜搬新校舍
11月28日，中国人保武都幼儿园在四川绵竹市汉旺镇竣工落成，191名地震重灾区的孩子从活动板房搬进了现代化的新校园。中国人保集团董事长、总裁吴焰和国际巨星、中国人保慈善大使成龙共同为新园揭牌。据悉，这是中国人保在汶川地震灾区继文县水坝小学、成县周旗小学后捐建的第三所爱心学校。
作为汶川地震的重灾区，绵竹市汉旺镇的原武都幼儿园校舍在“5.12”地震中全部坍塌，老师和孩子不得不先后在帐篷、活动板房中教学、上课，有的甚至转学异地。2008年6月初，人保慈善基金会和北京成龙慈善基金会向绵竹市教育局捐款300万元，指定用于援建爱心学校。据悉，这笔捐款是绵竹市教育局收到的第一笔灾后捐款。经多方选址，2009年2月中国人保和绵竹教育局最终确定在汉旺镇新址重建武都幼儿园。经过一年的紧张筹建，目前占地2700平米，建筑面积110平米，具备操场、图书室、音乐室等现代化设置的新校舍已竣工落成并交付使用。园长唐章容介绍说，新园建成后中国人保又添置了丰富的教学设备，新幼儿园被评为“绵竹农村一级幼儿园”，成为当地最好的幼儿园。新幼儿园共设6个班，目前入学儿童已达191名，从活动板房搬进新校舍孩子们很高兴，家长也很欣慰。

1、 人保慈善方面
2008年，中国先后遭遇南方雨雪冰冻灾害和四川“5.12”地震两大天灾。中国人保勇担抗灾重任，累计支付赔款32.2亿元，公司及全体员工捐款7700多万元，捐赠帐篷、棉被、药品等急需物资，为灾区救险及重建给予了极大的支持。
汶川地震发生后，5月13日 中国人保率先向四川灾区捐款1000万元。随后，动员公司员工缴纳特殊党费和特殊团费2200多万元，员工捐款1994万元。除了四川，中国人保还向受地震灾害严重的陕西、甘肃各捐款200万元，用于建设中国人保医疗中心和当地的灾后重建工作。
与此同时，中国人保近4000名中国人保抗震救险志愿者在第一时间行动起来，积极开展抗震救灾和灾后重建工作。为安定灾民生活，使灾区学生尽早复课，人保志愿者积极搭建“帐篷学校”、“帐篷医院”、“帐篷志愿者服务站”、“帐篷文化活动站”，累计搭设灾民安置帐篷800多个、帐篷校舍20余间。成片的爱心帐篷，被受灾群众亲切地称为“人保村”。中央政治局常委贺国强、中共中央书记处书记何勇、美国国务卿赖斯、德国副总理兼外长施泰因迈尔等先后来到中国人保帐篷学校视察，看望上课的孩子。
2008年5月14日，中共四川省委、四川省人民政府向中国人保集团发来了由省委书记刘奇葆、省长蒋巨峰亲笔签名的感谢电，代表全川人民向中国人保表示衷心感谢。2008年6月，中国人保抗震救灾志愿者服务团以其突出的事迹，获得中国金融工会颁发的全国金融“五一劳动奖状”和中央金融团工委授予的“抗震救灾先进集体”称号。同年10月，中共中央、国务院、中央军委举行全国抗震救灾总结表彰大会，人保财险四川阿坝州公司雷云荣获“全国抗震救灾模范”荣誉称号并接受表彰。12月，中国人保作为保险业的代表荣获“中华慈善奖”。
